What to Expect as a Client
A client is considered someone who has been referred to Dr. Roland through a contracted agency for either confidential counseling, critical incident stress debriefings, or officer involved shooting debriefings or is paying privately.
Prior to your appointment:
-
Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your appointment in order to fill out paperwork (if this is your first time seeing Dr. Roland)
-
In most cases your agency will not be given any information about your appointment, however if your agency does not have a contract and requires visits to be authorized by a supervisor, we will give them your name in order to get the authorization.
-
We will try our best to keep from scheduling clients at the same agency back-to-back in order to maintain confidentiality
At your appointment:
-
Know that your appointment will be approximately 50 minutes long
-
We do have a bathroom available for your use, just ask staff for the key
After appointment:
-
Your information will remain confidential; nothing will be shared with the agency unless you have given specific permission to Dr. Roland or staff and have signed a Release of Information (ROI) to share relevant information with your agency or other organization.
